Aktion Club: Beacons of Hope Shine at Annual Conference

On October 5, 2013, members from the Aktion Club attended the second annual WI/UM Leadership and Training Conference.  While at the conference, members participated in trainings, service projects, contests, and discussions focusing on fund raisers and service events.

Beacons of Hope Aktion Club was well represented and took home some major awards: Ben Brown won 1st place for his speech on why the Autism Project means so much to him and how the Aktion Club has impacted his life. Aaron Fichtner, President of the Beacons of Hope, was recognized for his dedication to service and outstanding leadership. 

Beacons of Hope Aktion Club as a whole, was recognized for their participation and had the highest rate of attendance.  The conference concluded with a dance and karaoke.
